The Main
Band currently has approximately 45 members. New players are always
welcome, particularly brass and percussion players. The ensemble is suitable for players of grade 4
Associated Board standard and
above. There are no auditions. Repertoire ranges from Philip
Sparke, to show selections, to Gershwin and more.
The Training Band was set up several years ago to provide a playing
opportunity for adults who are learning an instrument or have not played for
some time. Members often progress to the Main Band when they become
more confident. The Training Band always welcomes new members. The ensemble
is suitable for players of grade 2 Associated Board standard and above. There are no
auditions. The atmosphere is informal and all music is supplied.
Both ensembles are open to
players aged 16 and above.
Rehearsals
are held every Thursday in the Music Dept (Keelan Centre) at
St John Fisher Catholic High School
in Harrogate.

6.30pm - 7.30pm
Main Band
7.45pm - 9.45pm
